 | | GET CREATIVE WITH ART TO REMEMBER!
NOW TROUGH NOVEMBER 18, 2020!
This year our school is participating in a Virtual fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 50 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. The exciting part is that you can select any piece of artwork from home! You can use art from e-learning, choose a piece from earlier in the year, or create something new. Just click on the link below, search for your child’s name, and upload the piece of artwork you selected. You can upload additional pieces and save them in a digital family gallery. Parents you can create a household art project where kids can work together on that special project you want to share as a gift for family.
Our fabulous Mr. Donovan has created instructions for students that are loaded on their seesaw and google classrooms. We also have instructions for parents on how to upload art to our Nerge Art to Remember website.
The Art to Remember website is currently open: The deadline to upload and order is November 18, 2020.

 | | 2020-2021 REFLECTIONS PROGRAM DEADLINE IS TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 2, 2020!
Reflect. Create Art. Be Recognized.
Students were invited to create works of art in any of seven different arts categories: dance, music, film, literature, photography, visual arts and special artist.
PTA Reflection projects are due online by Monday, November 2nd!

 | | SPIRIT WEAR WILL BE HERE IN NOVEMBER!! Be on the look out for an email coming to you on November 19th with information regarding our new line of Nerge Spirit Wear! You will have a chance to order your spirit gear and get it just in time for Nerge's Spirit Wear Day on Friday, December 11th!

 | | ATTENTION 6TH GRADE PARENTS!!! We know this year is unique to say the least. However, we still want to make sure our 6th graders have a wonderful experience during their last year at Nerge! We're looking for some parents to join the 6th Grade Celebration Committee to help plan something special for our 6th graders. This year, our meetings will be via Zoom. The following committees are open or need some extra help! |
 | | STC AUCTION BASKETS 1 OR MORE CHAIRS NEEDED
Looking for a few parents to co-chair this committee with our current chair. Nerge PTA is required to submit 5 baskets to the Schaumburg Township Council (STC) of PTAs Live/Silent Auction Dinner in March. This fundraiser helps provide summer camp for current SD54 students and college scholarships for SD54 alumni. Responsibilities include: Chair is required to attend the initial meeting to receive all necessary information and due dates. The rest of the work can be done from home at your own schedule. Distribute donation request letters to businesses around the area, purchase additional items to compliment baskets (purchases will be reimbursed) and assemble baskets. In February, deliver baskets to SD54 warehouse. Chair(s) are invited to attend the event. |

 | | YEARBOOK
2 ADVISOR/EDITOR/YEARBOOK CHAIRS NEEDED
Do you have creativity and/or computer skills? We are looking for a parent or two to work with our current yearbook chair during her last year at Nerge and learn the ropes on how to create the Nerge yearbook. Responsibilities include: Provide guidance and direction on the yearbook. Develops the yearbook’s theme and style. Prepare templates and overall layout. Seek and develop content, requesting photos from each teacher, and ensuring that a photographer is present at any school event that may need coverage. Ensure that every student’s photo is in the yearbook, and that there is even coverage of all the groups across our school. Supervise the design team of volunteers from each classroom to prepare yearbook spreads. Review and correct errors on each page. Ensure deadlines are met and submit each page for publication. Organize the yearbook cover design contest, yearbook budget, marketing, sales, distribution, and assist the Nerge Tech Club. Most of the work is done from home. |
