Information Day

Information Day: August 10 

The purpose of Information Day is to share your child’s classroom assignment and provide families an opportunity to join our incredible PTA!  Classroom assignments will be shared via the Parent Portal so make sure your account is up and running.  For additional support with logging in to the Parent Portal, kindly contact the District 54 portal support desk at portalsupport@sd54.org. Support is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you leave a message, you will receive a response during those business hours.

The Nerge staff has worked diligently to place every child in an environment which best suits his/her learning needs; therefore, placement change requests respectfully will not be honored.

Parent Portal Directions:

Please enter the portal through the web or on your mobile device.   You will want to navigate to More->Student Reports.

From there you will be presented with a screen to select a child and then select the Student Schedule Report.  An example of the Student Schedule Report is attached below.  

Families with outstanding registration paperwork are invited to come to Nerge on August 10 to complete these required steps.  Our office is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Families who have not proven residency will not be able to generate the report or when they view the report.  Instead you will get information that says “please contact your front office and prove residency in order to view the complete report.”

***Please note the following important change.  Finalized kindergarten’s classroom assignments will be shared via the Parent Portal on Thursday, August 18 after 1:00 PM.  We will be using the kindergarten screening process taking place from August 15-August 17 as another piece of information to develop classroom make-ups so placements will be subject to change prior to August 18.**
